A 3-year-old girl was shot and killed at a hotel in Tamarac on Saturday, authorities said.
Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) agents responded to the Extended Stay Hotel in Tamarac, 3871 West Commercial Boulevard, following a report of a shooting.
According to a BSO statement, officers found a woman whose child had a gunshot wound.
Rescuers arrived at the scene, but paramedics determined the child was dead, the statement said. BSO confirmed the minor was 3 years old.
BSO investigators are investigating how the shooting occurred and are asking for the public’s help in solving the case.
