In everyday life it is not uncommon to meet a person who complains about hair loss and is looking for a solution to the mishap, after all, according to the Ministry of Health, about 50 to 100 hundred hairs fall out every day and the problem affects According to the Brazilian Hair Society (SBC ) live 42 million Brazilians. However, the good news is that there are already aesthetic treatments to bypass thread reduction and restore selfesteem in people with hair loss.
That explains the plastic surgeon Ito Meireles from Clínica Fine. In his opinion, as technology advances, new therapies and tools are increasingly emerging to optimize treatments in various fields of medicine, especially aesthetics.
“In practices, clinics and hospitals, patients can now enjoy minimally invasive procedures to ensure health, aesthetics and wellbeing. In the case of baldness, one of the most common conditions when it comes to hair loss, an example of a minimally invasive procedure is hair transplantation which we perform using the Fue technique, in which strands are removed one at a time from an area where they are resistant and implanted in bald areas without the need for an incision,” explains Ito.
In order to reduce hair loss and, if necessary, to achieve the best possible results through surgical intervention, mesotherapy is also available to the patient, a procedure that is already carried out in a minimally invasive manner using the most modern technological tools. One example is the TKN MesojectGun, says the doctor.
“It is a needlefree mesotherapy device. Using a technology called electroporation, an electrical discharge is applied to the scalp, increasing the absorption of drugs and active ingredients into the deepest layers of the skin without causing pain. It is a treatment to thicken the thread and improve the vascularization of the scalp, which can be performed preoperatively or postoperatively,” the doctor points out.
Another treatment for those who complain of thinning hair is taking finasteride and oral minoxidil as directed by a doctor. “Finasteride inhibits the 5alpha enzyme that causes baldness and hair loss as it converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. Minoxidil, on the other hand, is a vasodilator, a drug that increases blood flow to the scalp, which can stimulate new hair growth,” explains the plastic surgeon.
