Ukraine this afternoon in Bucha sighted and revealed the names of the Russian soldiers of the “Despicable Ten” charged with war crimes.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry released the names and faces of the twisted ten, stating: “Ten Russian butchers from the 64th Brigade have been identified and named as suspects responsible for the Bucha massacre.
‘This unit [has] was decorated for his atrocities and returned to the battlefield. Justice for war criminals is inevitable.’
Corporal Andrei Bizyaev, 33, has reportedly served in the Red Army for over a decade. He is originally from Khabarovsk in eastern Russia.
Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova added: “We will not stop until we have brought each of them to justice.”
The Attorney General’s office and the Slidstvo news agency scoured the Internet for the ten’s personal information.
The 24-33 year old NCOs, non-commissioned officers and privates of the 64th motorized brigade are now to fight in the Donbass.
Private Sergei Peskarev, 24, posted evidence of his membership in the 64th Brigade on Facebook. He worked in a supermarket until November last year, where he signed up in anticipation of a war in Ukraine. He got his wish in February and is now facing war crimes charges.
More than 400 mutilated, tortured and murdered bodies were discovered in the Kiev suburb as Russian troops pulled out of Bucha days after reports of widespread war crimes emerged.
Last week the suspected ringleader, the “Butcher of Bucha”, commander Azatbek Omurbekov, was promoted from lieutenant colonel to colonel.
It happened despite his men being accused of gang rape, torturing and executing civilians.
Corporal Dmitry Sergienko, 27, lived in Voronezh in southwestern Russia. He has a wife and a young daughter.
Shortly after the ceremony, the unit was then transferred to the eastern Donbass front, one of the most dangerous in the conflict.
Deadly fighting ensues as Moscow’s forces try to encircle Ukrainian troops who are proving a determined line of defense against Russia’s push from the east.
Analysts say Putin sent them to the front lines on purpose to make them disappear.
Soldier Grigory Naryshkin, 30, is another soldier personally accused of war crimes by the Prosecutor General. The athlete and martial artist also comes from the far eastern region of Russia.
That way they could never be forced to testify about their alleged war crimes.
Ukraine has continued to release the names of the officers and privates responsible for the Bucha massacre.
Putin is said to have known that they could one day be brought to justice and uncover the extent of their atrocities.
Sergeant Nikita Akimov, 25, from Komsomolsk in the Far East, is accused of personally kidnapping and torturing innocent Buchans. He has a wife and children and posted pictures on Facebook during the invasion.
The Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said earlier this month that Russian commanders refused to rotate their brigades and that the 64th was ready for deployment at Belgorod in western Russia.
Putin then sent them to the front lines between Kharkiv and Izyum, where fierce Ukrainian fighters were stationed, to exact revenge on the now infamous brigade.
The images now show allegedly destroyed T-80 main battle tanks, Kamaz trucks and BTR-80 infantry fighting vehicles with bodies lying next to the vehicles after the Donbass drone strikes.
Corporal Mikhail Kashin, 24, is from Votkinsk, western Russia. According to his social media, he has a wife and several sisters. He spent his birthday allegedly committing war crimes in Bucha.
According to Ukrainian news site Hromadske, most of the unit’s soldiers protested their transfer so soon after their campaign in Kyiv.
They were deployed to fight against the 93rd Ukrainian Brigade protecting Kharkiv, which has a fearsome reputation similar to the neo-Nazi Azov regiment in Mariupol.
Ukraine believes defeating the 64th Brigade would be another major symbolic victory after the successful attacks in Russia and the sinking of the Moskva flagship.
Private Vasily Knyazev, 24, comes from an impoverished family in Yoshkar-Ola, western Russia. He joined the army straight out of school and posted photos on Facebook of where the 64th Motorized Brigade was stationed after the invasion of Ukraine.
It is believed that the brigade was aided by the feared Wagner mercenaries in their brutal attacks on the residents of Bucha.
The shadowy military company linked to a string of murders, rapes and war crimes around the world is known as Putin’s private army. He does his dirty work only an arm’s length away from the state.
Russia has said images and footage of hundreds of bodies scattered across Bucha are fake.
Soldier Albert Radnaev, 24, joined the army straight out of school. His father is also reportedly a soldier in the Russian army, although it is not known if he fought in Ukraine.
The pro-Putin Red Star newspaper reported: “In capturing the established border, the enemy was defeated by up to one battalion and more than 40 pieces of equipment were destroyed.
“The nationalist unit lost all combat capabilities and was no longer involved in combat operations.
“In three weeks, brigade units on the occupied line, led by Colonel Omurbekov, repelled more than 50 enemy attacks with tanks, armored personnel carriers and heavy artillery.”
Junior Sergeant Vyacheslav Lavrentyev, 29, was a firefighter in Transbaikal, eastern Russia, before signing up to fight in Ukraine. He posted on Facebook: “Live one life – save thousands.”
Ukrainian officials say the bodies of more than 1,000 civilians have been recovered from areas around Kyiv and they are working with French investigators to document suspected war crimes.
Forensic tests on civilian bodies dumped in mass graves show women were raped before being brutally killed, it was revealed Monday.
Dozens of autopsies were carried out on mutilated corpses from Bucha, Irpin and Borodianka, many showing signs of torture and multiple bullet holes in the back.
Corporal Semyon Maltsev, 26, is a dancer. He also comes from the Far Eastern region of Russia. In February he stopped touring with his dance company and signed up to fight in Ukraine.
A coroner north of Kyiv said it was difficult to find signs of rape and sexual abuse because the bodies were “in such poor condition”.
A United Nations mission in Bucha “documented the unlawful killing of about 50 civilians there, including by summary executions,” the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said.
In the same city, 25 women, aged 14 to 25, were held in a basement and systematically raped, nine of the women becoming pregnant in a case now documented by Human Rights Commissioner Lyudmila Denisova.
