Singer Marc Anthony married Paraguayan model Nadia Ferreira, a former Miss Universe contestant, on Saturday January 28. They married surrounded by celebrities and personalities in a spectacular ceremony at the Pérez Art Museum in Miami, Florida.
According to ¡Hola! magazine, the ceremony was presided over by Miami City Mayor Francis Xavier Suarez and Father Jorge blessed the couple.
The beautiful 23yearold bride wore an exclusive model by designer Galia Lahav and Marc a suit by Christian Dior.
Among the guests, in addition to relatives and close friends of the newlyweds, were celebrities such as Salma Hayek, Romeo Santos, Maluma and Luis Fonsi, among others, the Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Domit, whose wife María Elena Torruco was one of the bride’s companions, along with Nadia’s mother Ludy Ferreira.
David Beckham was one of the groomsmen as he and Anthony are longtime friends.
It is not known if Marc’s children with Jennifer Lopez, Max and Emme, were present at the ceremony, but his older children Cristian and Ryan, fruits of his previous relationship with Dayanara Torres, were not absent from this very special moment.
ENGAGEMENT
In May last year, Marc Anthony announced via social media that he had asked for marriage from his new girlfriend, former Miss Universe contestant Nadia Ferreira.

Engagement rumors began after they celebrated the Paraguayan beauty’s birthday with cake and champagne aboard their private jet.
Nadia then shared a photo of her stunning ring on her Instagram, adding the phrase, “Engagement Party.”
Marc Anthony hasn’t spoken publicly about the proposal yet, but he recently admitted he’s very much in love and that Nadia Ferreira is the best person.

It is the salsa singer’s fourth marriage. He was married to model Shannon de Lima from 2014 to 2017, to Jennifer Lopez from 2004 to 2014, and to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres from 2000 to 2004.

The American press recalled an episode of Jennifer Lopez’s 2014 biographical book True Love, in which the singer admitted that she only married her children’s father, Marc Anthony, out of defiance after breaking off her engagement to Ben Affleck had always been in love.
The singer admitted in the publication that she had ill intentions when she agreed to marry the composer, as she reunited with Marc Anthony three days after the day she would have married the movie star.
JLo said in the book, “Ben Affleck and I broke up the moment I thought we were going to be together forever. For me it was the first real torment; I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest. And when I realized I wasn’t going to have the fairytale family I wanted, well, that’s when I started to fall apart.”

Lopez explained in the book that she married Marc at that point because she thought they were meant to be together since they already had a history before Affleck came into the picture.
According to an excerpt from her book, she said: “We thought everything would happen here, that we should be together. All the anguish and pain of my recent breakup couldn’t be for nothing, right? Maybe I had to go through something bad to break up with the person I was supposed to be with all the time. And at that moment, Marc reappeared in my life. Marc and I have been friends for years. We collaborated on a few songs and did a duet on my first CD called No Me Ames. From the start it was no secret that I liked him.”
JLo closed the paragraph of the book by saying, “We made our own choices, and I chose to believe that Marc and I were meant to be, that fate intervened. In that moment I had to believe it; I had to believe in something. The truth is I didn’t want to be alone so I was more than happy when Marc showed up finding me with his big smile and heart and open arms.”
