Alexander Skarsgard confirmed he had given birth to his first child with girlfriend Tuva Novotny while attending the season 4 premiere of Succession in NYC on Monday.
The Swedish-born actor, 46, previously sparked speculation he had welcomed his first baby with Tuva, 43, when the couple were spotted holding a newborn on an outing late last year.
On the red carpet at the star-studded Succession premiere, an Entertainment Tonight reporter congratulated the star on the new addition to the family, prompting his reply, “Thank you.”
He then showed off a cute stuffed animal he received at the premiere, declaring, “I got this on the red carpet,” and sweetly adding, “Thank you, thank you.”
Alexander was first romantically linked to the Swedish actress earlier last year, but the couple never publicly confirmed their relationship.

Both Alexander and Tuva starred together in Lars von Trier’s The Kingdom: Exodus last year in 2022.
Back in 2013, the The Legend Of Tarzan actor – who has previously dated the likes of Kate Bosworth and Alexa Chung – opened up about his own father, Stellan Skarsgard, and how he welcomed eight children.
He said humorously to Chelsea Handler at the time: “I want to hit my father. He had eight, so I’d better get going I guess.’
Last April, shortly after rumors of his romance with Tuva, the actress was spotted at the Elle Magazine Fashion Awards in Stockholm appearing to have a baby bump wearing a black mini dress on the red carpet.
However, the pair kept quiet on baby news until the actor confirmed he’d become a father on Monday.
At the Season 4 premiere of HBO Max’s Succession, Alexander opted for stylish comfort wearing a simple black sweater teamed with a black suit jacket and matching pants.
The star completed her overall ensemble for the special event by slipping into a pair of shiny black dress shoes that tied with laces.
A silver watch on his right wrist added a pop of color to his monochromatic look for the night.

Speaking on his own character, the Swedish star explained: “I don’t think he’s driven by greed or the need to amass more wealth. I think it was, he’s very competitive, just like a game, any other game.
“It happened to be about a billion-dollar takeover, but to him it’s just like any other game. ‘That should be impossible.’ ‘Oh, really? Then I will let it happen.’ It was a lot of fun playing this game,” he added.
The next and final season is slated to premiere later this month on March 26 on the streaming site.
