A mother was shocked to discover two ticks in her twoyearold daughter’s ear. The case happened in Arkansas, USA.
According to CNN, the family had recently moved to a house in the middle of the woods and the day before the baby was outside while her parents worked in the garden.
The discovery was made while the girl was bathing. The mother noticed irritation in the child’s ear and suspected her daughter might have put what appeared to be food in there. When she called the pediatrician, she was advised to take the baby for a checkup immediately.
The pediatrician found the ticks while cleaning the ear. “I had no idea it was ticks until the doctor started removing them from her ear,” the mother said.
“The removal process was very traumatic as you have to keep the child still to safely remove what was in the ear. “A twoyearold just doesn’t understand what the doctor wants to say,” said the mother in an interview.
