Lil Wayne performed at the Metro Metro Festival last night, but not without a delay.
Due to technical problems, the festival started three hours later than planned.
After that dangerous start, the show was going well until the headliner took the stage.
When Lil Wayne began his performance, viewers didn’t have time to pee, sneeze or blink as the star only sang for 15 minutes. The performance ended abruptly at 11:01 p.m. when his microphone broke off.
The rapper still had time to hit hits like “Mr. Carter, Mona Lisa, Uproar, Blunt Blowin, and 6 Foot 7 Foot, thanking the audience heartily between each song.
Fortunately, the festival ended smoothly this time. Remember last year there were overflows when several festival-goers knocked down a security barrier to gain entry without paying and others scaled the stadium to bypass entry.
This year the festival organizers have ensured that the site is significantly safer. Higher and stronger barriers were erected and the festival ensured that more security personnel patrolled the site.
