Algiers, 20th May (RHC) The President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Brahim Gali, this Saturday highlighted the achievements of the people over the past 50 years, which were only possible through enormous sacrifices.
In the central act of the commemoration of the double anniversary of the founding of the Polisario Front and the outbreak of armed struggle in Western Sahara, Gali pointed out that the achievements of the last half century would not have been possible without blood and sweat, tears, heroism, patience, Dedication and work of the heroic Saharawi people.
The Secretary General of the Polisario Front said that from colonialism to the constitution of the SADR there had been an immense radical change from poverty, backwardness and ignorance to an integrated state project.
Gali stressed the position that the Saharawi state occupies within the African Union, which has a well-deserved place on the international stage.
On this day, the Head of State paid tribute to all the martyrs of the immortal revolution of May 20th. especially the Martyr for Freedom and Dignity, Luali Mustafa Sayed; and all who gave their lives for the people and the country. (Spring: Latin Press).
