This Tuesday (23), two of the 13 women accusing Gérard Depardieu of sexual harassment spoke publicly about the violence endured by the French star. Actresses Charlotte Arnould and Sarah Brook gave details of the actor’s attacks in an interview. Deperdieu, who was charged with “rape” and “sexual assault” in March this year following a complaint made by Arnould in 2018, denies the allegations.

“I feel like I’ve died and that my life is over. I’ve been living in hell for five years,” Charlotte Arnould began in her statement to BFMTV. She revealed that since the episode, which took place at the actor’s home in August 2018, she began to suffer from bulimia, anorexia, scarification and alcoholism.

The actress also stated that Depardieu’s behindthescenes behavior was well known to people in the cinema world and that nothing had been done about the Frenchman. She described the tolerance of the productions with the protagonists of “The Last Metro” (1980) and “Cyrano de Bergerac” (1990) as “Omerta”, a reference to the Mafia’s law of silence.

Sarah Brooks also said in the French broadcaster’s report that she had become a victim of the actor while filming the series “Marseille”. “We shot in a football stadium in Marseille. […] Depardieu was next to me and as a crowd took our picture, […] He put his hand in my shorts and panties she recalled.

Brooks said he tried to flag the attack, but the team pros laughed at it. “It was disappointing, humiliating, shocking. Who would do that to a 20yearold girl?”
