One of the world’s most followed Instavideastes, Félix “xQc” Lengyel, originally from Laval, is leaving the Twitch platform to join his rival Kick in signing the most lucrative contract in the profession’s history.

According to his agent Ryan Morrison in an interview with The New York Times, his two-year contract would be worth $70 million, with incentives that could take the total to $100 million.

Félix Lengyel is better paid than LeBron James, who signed a two-year, $97 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers last August.

“It’s one of the highest offerings in entertainment anywhere,” says Morrison.

For several years, Félix Lengyel has been broadcasting live broadcasts of talks, video games and reactions to other videos on the Twitch platform, where he has more than 65,000 paying subscribers.

It streams content multiple times a week, often for more than 10 hours a day.

Last month, “xQc” was the second most watched person on Twitch with a total of 10.3 million hours.

This platform shift comes as Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, gets caught in a lot of controversy and is criticized by its members for a lack of listening and communication.

Kick, on the other hand, is a distribution platform launched last year that is largely funded by online gambling websites.
