Electric scooters, so popular with Montrealers, will return to the city.
This time they will perform at Parc Jean-Drapeau during the summer season.
Remember that after a chaotic summer of 2019, the metropolis had dispensed with scooters on the streets while the machines littered the streets.

“We’ve made major technological advances since 2019,” said Sara Evans Saunders, spokeswoman for BirdCanada. “Now we have access to a lot more technology to keep things running smoothly, but also to make sure everyone is wearing their helmets.”
The mobile application also requires participants to take a helmet-on selfie before they can start their race.

“Each scooter comes with a helmet that can be rented with the scooter,” explains Ms. Saunders. “We have a team at the park that makes sure everyone follows the rules.”
To unlock a scooter, the user has to pay $1.15 and the machine costs $0.42 per minute of use.

The service is available from Saturday and will remain available until November.
