According to Hollywood Life, a photo appears to show Oscar winner Mel Gibson greeting the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election.
“Anyone who ‘normalizes’ or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting asshole Trump with any measure of respect is disgusting to me ALSO,” the musician captioned the pics. “It’s you Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Wahlberg, you Guy Fieri. This is a statement on my part, not a discussion/debate.”
Within hours of posting, the message had garnered nearly 50,000 likes, including that of comedian Amy Schumer, star of Trainwreck.
The singer had already expressed his opposition to the former president.
In 2022, he took to Instagram to call the Republican “uncontrollably self-centered” and blamed him for the Supreme Court’s repeal of abortion laws, which he called “an embarrassment to the entire world.”
