The Bravo series, which first aired in 2008, is scheduled to air on the network for its 14th season on July 16, although fans of the series will not see the original cast return to screens.

Due to negative reviews after Season 13, the showrunners decided to do a complete rewrite of the series.

Andy Cohen announced the new diverse housewives in late October last year: Sai De Silva, Erin Dana Lichey, Brynn Whitfield, Jenna Lyons, Ubah Hassan and Jessel Taank.

The brand new cast for the 14th season of The Real Housewives of New York City reboot was revealed back in October.

On the last evening of BravoCon 2022, Andy Cohen announced the seven new ladies who will take over RHONY.

Lizzy Savetsky was originally set to join the rebooted cast as well, but in November 2022, she revealed on Instagram that she had left the series due to online bullying and “anti-Semitic threats.”

At the time, her media star wrote in a statement, “I will not be continuing on ‘Real Housewives of NYC.'”

As a proud Orthodox Jew, I thought participating in this series would be a great opportunity to represent people like me and share my experiences.”

“Unfortunately, since my announcement in the cast, I have been the victim of a spate of anti-Semitic attacks.” As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer the right one for me and my family.’

Lizzy finished with, “I’m looking forward to my next chapter.” Stay tuned – and thanks for your support! All my love.’

According to Page Six, sources claimed that other drama unfolding behind the scenes between Lizzy and her co-star Brynn Whitfield also led to Savetsky’s early departure from the Bravo show.

The insiders claimed Brynn asked Lizzy to set her up with a Jewish man, but Savetsky reportedly stated, “Orthodox Jews prefer marriages between Jews to preserve ethnicity” and that “Judaism is not just a belief system but a people.” ” is. ‘

The sources further claimed that Whitfield was offended and a phone conversation ensued between the two, which turned out to be heated. And in late November, Lizzy made the decision to leave the Real Housewives franchise.

The official logline for the revamped show reveals that it will follow “an all-new cast of seven dynamic women active in the same social circles and thriving in one of the most diverse and exciting cities on earth.”

“From fashion and real estate to philanthropy and social influence, these women have made their mark on NYC and will now share their lives while juggling careers, family life and busy social schedules in the city that never sleeps…”

The original ladies who will not be returning to the show include Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Heather Thomson.

However, Bravo had hinted that a spin-off with original cast members called RHONY: Legacy, which Singer previously referred to as “The Loser Show,” could be made.

And earlier this year, sources told Page Six that the network had simply “lost interest” in continuing the series, while also struggling with the money on offer and the number of episodes promised to the returning stars.

According to the broadcaster, the cast were only promised four episodes for the first season. “It’s not worth it,” a source explained. “And it’s insulting.” These are the women who made the show a hit in the first place. You don’t deserve to be turned on your head.’

A separate insider close to the production also explained, “The network seems to have just lost interest in continuing the legacy edition at this point.”

“It seems the producers are more focused on the RHONY reboot, which we’re hearing is fun, funny and ambitious.”
