Christian Wilkins is stepping out of his famous father’s shadow with a surprising new career move.
The celebrity son of Channel Nine veteran Richard Wilkins has revealed he has written a children’s book called Princess Mitchell.
The 27-year-old said on Instagram on Sunday: “I can’t wait to share Princess Mitchell with you all.”
“The very first copy is coming out next week ahead of the October release and I’m so excited!” I’m so proud of it.
Described by publisher Simon & Schuster as “a heartwarming tale of making friends, celebrating differences and embracing who you are, Princess Mitchell” will be available October 4th.

Wilkins recently took another big step in his career by moving to Los Angeles to work on his acting and presenting prospects.
He told Who magazine he hopes to secure opportunities in Hollywood this year.
“I just think there’s an opportunity to go there and see what might happen and I’d like to try and explore that,” he said.
“I’ve always wanted to be an actor or a late-night TV host. That would be a dream… so let’s try to manifest that and see if it happens.”

It’s probably a huge disappointment for Christian, whose connection to his father previously helped him launch a modeling and reality TV career back home.
The model joined the strike action after recently taking part in a protest outside Netflix headquarters with Australian actor Luke Cook.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph during the demonstration, Christian said: “It definitely wouldn’t have been my favorite example of moving here, but it’s also kind of amazing to be here and see the community come together.”
Christian is best known for starring in the Stan TV series Eden and appearing on Dancing with the Stars in 2020, as well as his modeling work.
