We prepare sandwiches suitable for a lunch on the beach that fill us up and tantalize our taste buds with selected flavor combinations
Who said that all you have to do is nibble some fruit on the beach and starve yourself, then have an ice cream or, even worse, treat yourself to dinner after a day of forced and very unbalanced eating?
Enjoy a balanced lunch under an umbrella You can, yes you have to, in order not to get the wolf hunger later.
That doesn’t mean bringing eggplant parmesan or dishes that are too hard to digest: we can eat tastefully and still remain light without our body missing the nutrients it needs.
Also, to avoid lugging around plates and cutlery, ie Sandwiches are the perfect solution: convenient to eat and easy to prepare. All you have to do is wrap each sandwich in some aluminum foil and we won’t risk a mess.
Fresh and nutritious sandwiches for a filling lunch
We’re not talking about the classic ham and cheese sandwich, but about tastier and more nutritious sandwiches. A good example is preparing one Wholemeal sandwich with tomato slices, feta cheese, olives and oregano: We call it the Greek sandwich.
Otherwise we choose another fresh and infallible combination, also in this case with vitamins and high quality proteins: slices of Bresaola with arugula. For a richer sandwich, we’ll use the pulp of one instead avocado and spread on the wholemeal bread slices and then top off the sandwich with del smoked salmon.

Two delicious sandwiches filled with ingredients that need to be cooked beforehand
When we have the time and inclination to cook before heading to the beach — and especially when we have time to grill — we prepare slices of it Grilled zucchini and let’s fill a sandwich with it scrambled eggs. We season to taste with aromatic herbs such as sage or thyme.
Or grill some sliced auberginesseason them with extra virgin olive oil and chopped fresh mint leaves and sandwich them between two slices of whole wheat bread that we’ve spread onChickpea Hummusfor a Middle Eastern flavored sandwich.
