President of Venezuela meets with CCP General Secretary in Shenzhen, China

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, met this Saturday with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (PCCh) in Shenzhen, Huang Kunming, as part of his tour of the Asian giant.

The meeting between the president of the South American country and the Chinese political leader took place at a hotel in the city of Shenzhen, which is part of the Canton province in the southeast of the Asian country.

In a statement, the Press Office of the Presidency of the Bolivarian Republic claimed that the interview “allowed the exchange of experiences in the political field and strengthened the bonds of integration and mutual respect.”

He noted that during the conversation, the Venezuelan head of state highlighted the importance of Special Economic Zones (ZEEs) as a path to economic diversification as a pillar of development in the 21st century.

“The path to the establishment of special economic zones in Venezuela is being taken gradually to diversify the economy and expand Venezuela’s productive forces, linked to the high technology of this new era,” emphasized President Maduro.

“It is something fundamental,” he added, “when we talk about development in the 21st century. That is why this meeting is so important and I hope that it will give rise to plans and initiatives that deeply unite the two countries.”

The Press Office of the Venezuelan Presidency recalled that last August President Maduro signed decrees activating four Special Economic Zones (ZEE) in different strategic regions of the South American country to promote the construction of a new post-war model. Oil.

The Venezuelan President’s state visit to China, which will last until September 14, is intended to consolidate fraternal and cooperative relations between the two nations.
