About ten years ago, Jean-René Dufort was very ill. He had severe pneumonia that confined him to a hospital bed for a long month.
During his appearance on the program “Pour for Once”, Marie-Soleil Michon spoke to him about this intense period of his life, about which he spoke very little in the media.
“I haven’t talked about it much because I think I’m dealing with a serious illness,” he said at first. “I can’t become a spokesman for anything. You can’t make political capital with pneumonia. Because there is pneumonia on scooters and there are 18-wheelers and I took the 18-wheeler. »
He adds: “Within 24 hours I went from partying to having a beer with my friends in the intensive care unit, even the super intensive care unit.” Honestly, they said to me: “Let’s see if you spend the night here” . »
“I’m alone, I have a lot of tubes in every orifice in the world, I’m wearing a jacket, it didn’t go well. I realized that if I died there, I would miss my death,” he says, laughing.
“My husband, who was 10 to 11 at the time, and I lost my father when I was 11, and I experienced the opposite of what happened when I was young. It was a surreal moment. »
Note that Jean-René Dufort is also the father of a little girl that you can spot in the photo here.
