A lot of people didn’t understand it, but even before Pabllo Vittar took the stage at The Town this Sunday (10), some of his fans were celebrating in the choir the assembly of the instruments for the band that accompanied the singer.
The lack of backing musicians at Pabllo’s shows became a common joke online. She answered the criticism with a good show for the first time with a band on the second largest stage of the festival in São Paulo.

“It’s a pleasure to be here today with my band,” emphasized the singer, receiving outcries from those who understood the irony. “Break it all up, my band,” he joked before “Cadeado,” a song from the celebratory album Noitada, released earlier this year.
The instrumentalists made a big difference: they added strength and substance to Pabllo’s arrangements, making him more comfortable singing and dancing without having to hold the audience back with his singing. Still, she exaggerates the number of times she points the mic at the audience, damaging the experience of those who are there, and even more so those watching the show on TV.

Wearing a sensual pantsuit, Pabllo began with “KO,” one of her first hits, and added the arrocha “Triste com T.” The two were sung so loudly by the audience that the singer’s voice could hardly be heard.
She welcomed her friend Liniker for a duet on the great “Disk Me”. The two also sang “Baby 95”, from the guest repertoire. Singer Jup do Bairro joined a banned version of “Descontrolada” that entered the remix album “After” (2023).
“Is there Quenga, The Town?” she asked ahead of “Amor de Que,” a hit from the last carnival before the pandemic, in 2020. For the performance, she changed her costume and appeared in a leather swimsuit.
In the setlist, Pabllo has nicely balanced the tracks of the five studio albums released since 2017, when he broke through with “Todo Dia”, a song recorded with Rico Dalasam. Due to a copyright dispute, it does not appear on broadcasts and has been removed from digital platforms.
Other partnerships included: “Ameianoite” released with Gloria Groove, “Bandida” with Pocah and “Sua Cara” with Major Lazer and Anitta. In the last picture, the singer took off her panties and showed the public her butt (there were another pair of panties underneath).
The LGBTQIA+ icon, who transcended any niche to become one of the most important voices in Brazilian pop, celebrated her own breakthrough after singing “Ultra Som” from the album Batidão Tropical (2021): “My name is Pabllo Vittar. I’m ‘faggot’. I am drag.”
In the end, playing with the cloudy sky in the festival region made for a funny moment. “The weather forecast says the heavens have closed, but this rain is an anointing, a blessing, and all our enemies will fall now,” he said, before ending with “Rajadão,” a nod to gospel music in a’s repertoire Artist for whom versatility is a rule.
