Taylor Swift was very relaxed at the VMA Awards on Tuesday evening (12) in the USA. Between one glass of drink and another, she danced, cheered and gave Anitta a standing ovation when she recognized the quality of the Brazilian in the video for “Funk Rave”, the winner of the evening.

The North American’s reactions went viral on social media (see some below). In addition to her, Selena Gomez also had an influence, but in the opposite way. In some moments, the singer of Mexican descent appears more reserved, only showing a small smile when she realizes she is being filmed.

Selena also made an ugly face when she heard Chris Brown’s name announced in a category as if she didn’t like it.

But the impact of the faces and mouths (or lack thereof) seems to have irritated Selena. He screamed via Instagram Stories. “I will never be a meme again. I would rather sit still than be attacked for who I am,” she wrote.

It was the second year in a row that Anitta won the Best Latin Music Video trophy at the awards.

The Brazilian won the category with the music video for “Funk Rave,” beating names like Bad Bunny, Karol G, Rosalía and Shakira. The song is part of his latest effort, a threesong package called “Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story.”
