Tiger Woods hits balls on the greens

Former world No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods appears to be improving after undergoing ankle surgery in April and hit a few balls during a clinic at Liberty National in New Jersey on Tuesday.

As clearly shown in a twenty-minute video broadcast, he took the opportunity to perform some approach or short-distance shots (in English “chip shots”) in front of a very attentive audience. Wearing shorts and a compression sleeve on his right leg, he eschewed a full swing, preferring a few short one-handed punches.

Before going under the knife, Woods competed in the Masters and threw in the towel in the third round when he aggravated his plantar fasciitis. He then attempted to resolve the arthritis problems associated with his ankle injury through surgery.

Since his traffic accident in February 2021, the American has taken part in five official competitions. The aftermath of this collision remains and the player has withdrawn from certain key events in 2023, most notably the PGA Championship and the United States Open.

The “Tiger” has experienced more tumultuous stories in recent months, including the end of a relationship with his longtime cadet Joe LaCava and disputes with his former partner Erica Herman, who dropped a 30-year lawsuit against him.
