Israeli troops killed six Palestinians in less than 24 hours

Ramallah, September 20 (Prensa Latina) Israeli soldiers killed a 19-year-old Palestinian in the occupied West Bank today. This brings the number of deaths in the last few hours due to attacks by the neighboring country’s security forces to six.

The Ministry of Health reported that Dhargham Muhammad Yahya Al-Akhras died after being wounded in the head by a bullet during a military attack on the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp near the city of Jericho.

Israeli troops entered the city to arrest several Palestinians, which led to intense gunfights with militiamen, the official Wafa news agency emphasized.

During the operation, the military conducted searches and looted numerous houses, the source said.

Hours earlier, 29-year-old Atta Yasser Atta Musa died after being hit by bullets during a raid on Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

Last night’s raid also killed 22-year-old Rafat Omar Khamayseh; Mahmoud Ali Saadi, 23, and Mahmoud Khaled Ararawi, 24.

Another 30 people were injured in the offensive, some of them seriously.

Nabil Abu Rudeina, spokesman for the Palestinian government, condemned the new wave of Israeli violence.

The current aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip, Jenin and other cities will lead to violence and escalation throughout the region, the politician warned.

Rudeina was referring to the death of another young man yesterday on the border between the coastal enclave and the neighboring country due to gunfire by the military.

“The U.S. government must be acutely aware that the territory is on the brink of an explosion due to Israel’s continued killing, destruction and land theft,” he warned.
