David Beckham has revealed everything – like weight training with his wife Victoria, the dangers of aging and his love of Lego – ahead of his new Netflix documentary.
Beckham, 48, said they stay fit by working out together every morning. “We train mainly with weights now. “I don’t run as much anymore, although I enjoy it,” he told the Telegraph.
He added that he now “weirdly” benefited more from strength training than running.
At nearly 50, Beckham said that certain aspects of aging are “not great,” such as his body aching when he gets up in the morning, but that doesn’t bother him.
He actually agreed that he was “aging gracefully” and seemed to accept what that entails: “Since I left my career, my back hurts, my hip hurts, my Achilles tendon… But you know, that’s part of it.” But go gray, go bald? I do not care.’

He was accused of trading ethics for money after taking on the well-paid role, due to Qatar’s stance on LGBTQ+ rights – the country considers same-sex to be illegal – and its human rights abuses, including allegations of mistreatment of the migrant workers who do so Buildings build World Cup stadiums.
Beckham has previously presented himself as an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and was even featured on the cover of Attitude magazine, a gay lifestyle magazine.

As well as football, Beckham’s great passions include building Lego blocks for adults and beekeeping, where he proudly looks after his 18 hives on his property in the Cotswolds.

New additions included a tribute to his passionate business venture in Miami and the word “Posh” – after Victoria, who was called “Posh Spice” in her pop star days – on his left hand, as well as some lions for his work-in-progress St. George tattoo on his left thigh.
He was inspired to do the latter after his son Cruz got the same word tattooed on his arm.
Beckham also recently shaved off his hair after becoming “bored” with his hairstyle and is now sporting it again with a cropped hairstyle – the same hairstyle as his iconic free-kick goal against Greece in 2001 that catapulted England into the World Cup the following year.
His new haircut features more tattoos: a model of the solar system on the side of his skull, a rose – another homage to Victoria – and a flock of birds.

There he arrived at the club’s training ground at 7 a.m. to greet the players – including the newly signed Lionel Messi – every morning and to set an example.
In addition to his stay in Miami, he also spent holidays in Italy and Croatia, his team’s game in LA – which they won – and the opening of the Rugby World Cup in Paris.
He always seems to be on the move and said after retiring from his professional football career in 2013, he knew he needed something else to keep him busy and so he co-founded Miami a few years later.

Despite his impressive career, people sometimes seem to forget that he was actually one of the best players of his era, right up there with Zidane, Figo and Ronaldo.
In a podcast with Match of the Day’s Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, the hosts discussed which English player from a different generation they would have liked to have played with – and Lineker said Beckham.
While Beckham said he would never brag about his footballing achievements, he does say they are sometimes “overlooked” – so Lineker’s endorsement must have been satisfying.
One of the defining moments of his football career was the red card he received against Argentina in the round of 16 of the 1998 World Cup.
England’s then coach Glenn Hoddle appeared to blame Beckham for the loss, and in the Netflix documentary – for which Hoddle was the only one to decline an interview – Victoria refuses to call Hoddle “a man”, while Beckham’s mother Sandra remained outraged by Hoddle .
After the game, Beckham quickly became the most hated man in England, and the Daily Mirror even printed a cut-out dartboard with his face on it.
In the show, Victoria reveals that her husband was actually suffering from depression at the time. Beckham said he never went to therapy for it and said if he had told his father Ted, he would have questioned him about it – instead he “put his head down and worked harder.”

He seems to be following their example with Inter Miami, which he wants to build into a sustainable company in the long term and pass on to his children.
But whatever happens next may never be seen in a documentary again, as Beckham said the upcoming Netflix show is the only one he wants to make, adding that his grandchildren may love the story could tell him.
