War in Israel and Gaza: Family of five killed in cold blood

Three children, ages 6 and 4, and their parents were killed “in cold blood” on Saturday by Hamas members in the shelter where they were hiding, according to their relatives, who moved heaven and earth to get rid of them to find out about them.

Tamar Kedem-Siman Tov, her husband Yonatan, their six-year-old twin daughters Shachar and Arbel and their four-year-old son Omer died at their home in Nir Oz on the outskirts of Gaza, according to the Sidney Morning Messenger.

The family told Australian friends Yishai and Mor Lacob via a WhatsApp group that they were safe in a shelter.

“Hello guys, we have entered the shelter of our house, we are all fine,” the message sent said, the media said.

However, Hamas terrorists managed to break into the bunker before killing them “coldly”, according to relatives spoken to by Australian media.

That’s because without the news of Tamar Kedem-Siman Tov, Yishai and Mor Lacob moved heaven and earth to find a way to join them, they say.

“We tried to talk to people there… people we might know in the area, we harassed everyone,” Mor told the Morning Herald.

Shortly afterwards the terrible news finally came.

Since then, the family’s photo has been making the rounds on social networks and many of the victims’ friends have paid tribute to them, especially the mother, who was an advocate for women’s rights.

“What trash kills babies and their parents? “It’s hard to believe you’re gone,” Tsofia Cohen, a close friend of the mother, wrote on Facebook.
