Mari Gonzalez and Jonas Sulzbach break their silence and explain what they are going through in their relationship

This Tuesday (10), Mari Gonzalez commented for the first time on rumors that she was in crisis in her eightyear relationship with Jonas Sulzbach. In a joint statement, the former BBBs said they were doing well, but “everyone is living their individual lives a little longer.”

“Guys, there was news about our relationship last week. If we were not public people, we could live these phases without pressure and without external problems. However, we understand the curiosity and also the concern of fans and the media. We are doing well, we have been friends and partners for many years,” they emphasized.

“At the moment everyone is living a little more of their individual lives, a time of reflection, and that’s okay. There is a lot of dialogue, respect and love between us. We are happy about everyone’s affection. We have no intention of delving further into this topic and ask the press to understand the speculation around us,” the text published on Instagram Stories concludes. The message was signed by Mari and Jonas.

The statement was released in response to rumors circulating online. A week ago, Em OFF columnist Erlan Bastos explained that the exBBBs were experiencing a crisis in their relationship. Sources close to the couple told Vehicle that Mari and Jonas had a “bad argument” and that the disagreement “cooled down the relationship” and the two decided to “take a break.” According to the vehicle, it is Sulzbach who is trying to save the engagement.

In addition to the alleged fight, fans also noticed the couple’s distance on social media. According to internet users, Mari and Jonas have not posted any photos together on their respective profiles since August.

After the impact of the rumors, the model spoke out on October 4th in a conversation with the portal Leo Dias. In the vehicle, Jonas denied any interference with the romance and connection with Gonzalez. He attributed their distance to a trip the former BBB member took to visit his family in Bahia. “Yes, everything is fine. Anyone who follows us knows that Mari spent several days with her family in Bahia. We can’t always travel together,” explained Jonas.

Just last week, Mari was contacted several times by Dias’ team but gave no response. The former BBB press office reportedly “didn’t talk” when asked about the matter. When asked if they had any comment on the alleged quake, Gonzalez’s team ultimately replied: “At the moment, no.”

Mari and Jonas have been together since 2015. In October last year, the pair postponed their wedding and in April this year, they explained in an interview with Quem that they were “at least not thinking” about making the union official at the moment. “Marriage isn’t even on our agenda. Building a house from scratch is no joke. And there is no reason to combine two such important moments. We couldn’t live the way we live. Let’s build the house. We are already married, we already live together. It will be another moment of celebration with family and friends. It’s better to do everything at the right time. Let’s build it and then we’ll move on to the next one. Solve one thing at a time and live in the present,” Gonzalez explained at the time.
