Good demos from October 9th to 16th for the Steam

Good demos from October 9th to 16th for the Steam Néo Fest – NoFrag – NoFrag

After our short list of demos to avoid, here is one of the good demos or the ones we couldn’t test and brought here when in doubt.

sorceress

Genre: Immersive Simulation/Action

We talked about it a few days ago at the Kickstarter launch. Sorceress is an immersive, action-oriented simulation with very pleasant movements and very dynamic combat. It’s heavily inspired by Dark Messiah of Might & Magic and is cool.

Summer

Genre: Running simulation / painting

Quiet, beautiful and very pretty, not everyone will like summer here. But if there’s a soft little heart beating behind the plate armor studded with English spikes, you might be seduced. Also, sometimes it’s unintentionally funny when we create completely stupid paintings.

Scroage

Gender: Retro PFS

No doubt developed in collaboration with a secret lobby of ophthalmologists, Scroomage offers fast, violent and bloody gameplay in black, white and red – for blood. The plot is difficult to read, but that adds to its charm.

The gap

Genre: Walking simulation

A nice walk of anticipation on the topic of memory. It’s nice if you are sensitive to the topic being discussed.

While we wait here

Genre: Retro walking simulation

Is it our fault if the good demos don’t offer to blow up the opponents with large shots? Okay, so you’re not complaining that this list still includes a running simulation. You can also make dry burgers in While We Wait Here and the aesthetic is inspired by the PS One. The story looks good.

Peripetia

Genre: Retro FPS / immersive simulation

Peripeteia is a very fascinating project. It is an immersive simulation in a post-Soviet universe where we are very free in what we do. The game doesn’t take us by the hand. On the other hand, the inventory system is hellish and the AI is completely broken.

AWAKENING

Genre: Horror walking simulation

This edition of the Steam Neo Fest, even more than the previous ones, is full of horror games of more than questionable quality. We still tested one or two, including REVEIL, which has the good taste of being pretty, offering cool puzzles, and touching on light themes like childhood violence. But it remains a classic horror walking simulation.

The Talos Principle 2 looks good: The Talos Principle 2 has released a demo

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death, it’s average: Soulslinger: Envoy of Death, a new rogue-lite that’s hot and cold

Wizordum, it won’t break a duck’s three legs, but you can play with it: Wizordum will be released in Early Access on November 15th

RoboCop: Rogue City, the stutters have been adjusted, but it’s still a bummer: A demo for RoboCop: Rogue City

Transience, very well done, promising, but we wonder what Bullettime is doing in the game: news from Transience and a surprise demo

ELDRIMAR

Genre: Action RPG

We talked about it this summer, ELDRIMAR is a sort of Skyrim-like game with localized damage, which is a change from the mess of miscopies we’ve seen so far.

Zero reasons

Genre: Multiplayer

Undoubtedly an attempt to ride the wave of BattleBit Remastered, albeit with Zero-G.

Project Regolith

The outbreak

Genre: VR

The Burst’s gameplay is clearly action-oriented and looks pretty good. On the other hand, it’s a bit ugly.
