Most design projects require months or years of planning, but some ventures that have been in development for a long time don’t seem to have been given much thought at all.

Baffled social media users from around the world have been posting a series of hilarious design fails and Cheezburger.com has compiled the worst in a hilarious gallery.

One of the bizarre snaps showed a ramp in a shopping center, presumably intended for accessibility, leading to an inaccessible staircase.

And a promotional poster for an art exhibition in London decided to use the event’s acronym – with somewhat unpleasant results.

Elsewhere, a turnstile has been placed in the middle of an open path for people to walk around – somewhat defeating the purpose of the barrier in the first place.
