What happened?
On October 7, Islamic Hamas attacked settlements in Israel from the Gaza Strip and fired hundreds of rockets. The Israeli army then declared that it would… “War Mode” and responded with massive airstrikes. The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip has deteriorated enormously.
The number of victims is constantly increasing. More recently, Israeli authorities spoke of more than 1,300 deaths and thousands of injuries.
According to Palestinian authorities, the Israeli response to the Hamas attack has so far resulted in at least 2,750 deaths and at least 9,714 injuries on its side. Further Austrian deaths were confirmed on Thursday.
