Hamas, which attacked Israel ten days ago with targeted attacks on civilian targets and received a declaration of war in response, expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of explicit support from Arab countries.

“We are very angry about the policies of Arab countries that do not help us and remain silent,” said spokesman Ghazi Hamad metropolises, when asked whether other countries or armed groups had contacted Hamas to discuss the conflict.

The group’s concerns come at a critical time in the Gaza Strip, which has been ruled by Hamas since 2007. Since the start of the war, the region has been a constant target of Israeli bombing and is subject to possible ground invasion by Israeli forces.

So far, few countries in the region have taken more forceful statements in support of the group. Only Iran sharpened its tone and threatened a possible escalation of the conflict, which has already left more than 4,000 dead between Palestinians and Israelis.

This Sunday (October 15), the country’s foreign minister confirmed that new fronts against Israel could emerge in response to the siege of the Gaza Strip and the international aid provided by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

“If the Zionist aggression does not stop, all parties in the region will withdraw,” said Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

In addition to the country led by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Hezbollah was among the proPalestinian groups in the region that showed intentions to provide military support to Hamas.

Since the start of the conflict, the group has carried out a series of attacks on Israeli positions on the border with Lebanon and put its cadres on “war alert.”
