Audience members at Katy Perry’s final appearance in Las Vegas were stunned to discover that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, had joined them.
Video footage shows the couple arriving at the Resorts World Theater, where US pop star Perry has been performing a number of her PLAY shows since October.
Other audience members can be heard exclaiming as they notice the young royals being escorted to their seats before the show begins.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly accompanied by their friend, US-based British-Bahraini fashion designer Misha Nonoo, and her husband Michael Hess.
The couple were often seen enjoying date nights together, while Meghan also attended one of Taylor Swift’s Eras shows alone while Harry attended the International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) event in Tokyo, Japan.
Perry, 39, is no stranger to performing for royal guests. She was among the stars who attended King Charles’ coronation concert in May this year and wowed the audience with renditions of her hit singles “Roar” and “Firework.”

She was also one of the few celebrities invited to be part of the 2,000-strong congregation at Westminster Abbey on May 6 when Charles and his wife Camilla were crowned king and queen.
Perry arrived at the ceremony with British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. She had previously worked with the royal through the British-Asian Trust, a charity set up by Charles during his time as Prince of Wales.
The pop star, who is married to Kent-born Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom, opted for a purple ensemble by British designer Vivienne Westwood, consisting of a short-sleeved jacket and matching skirt, to which she attached a silk flower lapels and her dramatic Merry Widow veiling headpiece.
She completed the look with Westwood Granny Frame beaded handbag, elbow-length gloves and a bas-relief beaded choker.

Toward the end of her show in Las Vegas, Perry gave an emotional speech thanking the team behind the concert and her fans.
“What a wonderful celebration it was,” she said. “I loved the energy and creativity you bring to each era…without you there would be no PLAY. Thank you for taking me on this journey.
Thank you to my friends who came to support me tonight! Some of you were here on opening night and you’re here again on closing night and I don’t think you’re going to get Covid tonight,” she joked.
“And to my family. I love you so much and I’m so excited to come home and play pickle ball tomorrow. Thank you for supporting me and coming to Vegas more in the last two years than ever before, and our own grandma even lived here. Thank you to my partner Orlando who is an incredible support system and an amazing father, I love you.”
“I started this show after my daughter Daisy Dove was born,” Perry continued, growing increasingly emotional.
“When I met her, it was like all the love I had ever been looking for finally surfaced. She healed me, healed me and showed me how to play again. So this show is for everyone’s inner child and the hope that if we could perhaps see the world through the eyes of a child, we will be free. Because never forget that love will always be the key.”
