Joseph, reflects on the balances and relationships created with some of his adventure companions. The boy is especially sorry that he could not find a faithful, loyal and present person in the house with whom he could share both the happy and the sad and desperate moments.
“I can’t stay calm, I feel like I’m missing a person who is close to me, a person I can go to when you’re sad,” says the boy, appearing particularly bitter.
The engineer says about his trip that he is very happy and satisfied, but feels a special nostalgia: “I’m missing a real point of reference, I’m missing the feeling of having a true friend,” he says, almost embarrassed and particularly desperate.
Giuseppe listens carefully to his tenant’s words, sorry to hear him so reserved and melancholy. “I’m here if you want,” he tells him, promising to be there whenever he needs a shoulder to vent on.
