American superstar Taylor Swift continues to make a splash, this time as far away as Singapore. Last spring, the singer signed a partnership with United Overseas Bank. Credit card holders have access to the ticket office for the star’s concerts 48 hours before anyone else.
That’s fitting, because in June Taylor Swift announced six concerts in Singapore that will take place in March. The effect is immediate: the number of credit cards across the region increased by 45% in one week.
In the third quarter, the company saw an 89% increase in bank card commissions and an explosion in membership.
