The Detroit Lions announced their Week 12 inactives ahead of their game against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day.
The Detroit Lions have declared their inactive status prior to Week 12’s Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Green Bay Packers and are once again relatively healthy for this game.
The Lions entered Week 12 with a full 53-man roster and made two roster additions – offensive tackle Michael Schofield and DT Quinton Bohanna – bringing Detroit’s gameday roster to a total of 55 players.
Because the Lions have eight offensive linemen active for Sunday’s game, they are authorized to expand their roster from 47 to 48 players on game day. Therefore, the Lions have To because there are 55 players in the squad on game day and 48 are eligible to play seven players inactive for today’s matchup.
Inactive Lions:
- OL Jonah Jackson (ankle/wrist) – out Wednesday
- DT Isaiah Buggs (illness)
- EDGE Julian Okwara
- DT Brodric Martin
- WR Antoine Green
- LB Trevor Nowaske
- CB Steven Gilmore
Jackson will miss his second straight game and rookie Colby Sorsdal is expected to start at left guard for the second straight game. This will be Sorsdal’s third start this season (he also started at right guard) and the fourth game in which he has seen snaps on offense (he played right tackle early in the season as an injury replacement).
Buggs is still listed with illness, but since he was not assigned injured status, he was likely benched to make room for Bohanna, who had a solid performance against the Bears last week.
Okwara not playing is a bit of a surprise given his usage lately, but he sits while the Lions promote a now-healthy Levi Onwuzurike into the lineup.
For the second year in a row, a very healthy Lions squad ousts newcomers Martin, Green, Nowaske and Gilmore.
Inactive packers:
