The city of Sao Paulo appears on the list of the 30 best cities in the world in 2024. The ranking was compiled by World’s Best Cities, which placed the capital São Paulo in 27th place ahead of Sydney, Copenhagen and Rio de Janeiro.

The list is compiled by Resonance, a global tourism, economic and urban development consulting firm that publishes a ranking of the best cities in the world every year.

To define each position, they use a combination of statistics from 400 cities around the world and user reviews. Three key factors are taken into account: quality of life, viability and prosperity.

In the friendship list, São Paulo ranked 9th. But in terms of wealth, the capital ranks 161st.

The website also highlights the community’s cultural influences. “Brazil’s largest city with more than 23 million residents, São Paulo has cultural influences from several countries, including Japan, Italy, Lebanon and France,” the list says.

“All this mix creates a daily life that is among the most vibrant and diverse on the planet,” adds World’s Best Cities. This puts the capital in 5th place in the cultural ranking and 6th in the gastronomy ranking.

Rio de Janeiro was also on the list. The capital of Rio de Janeiro came 63rd in the ranking highlighting its beaches, nightlife and music.

Finally, first place was taken by London, which also occupied this place in the list of cultural and educational achievements.
