The Toronto Maple Leafs made short work of the Pittsburgh Penguins, winning 7-0 at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday.
With multiple cases of the flu, the Toronto team didn't feel the absence of TJ Brodie and Auston Matthews at all.

Tyler Bertuzzi (three assists) and Max Domi (one goal and two assists) each had a three-point night. The former Montreal Canadiens notably scored a beautiful goal by delaying his shot as late as possible to send the puck into the net early in the second period.
William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Matthew Knies each had a goal and an assist for two points. The latter notably completed a Gordie Howe hat-trick by throwing out the gloves at the start of the first period.
Martin Jones was perfect in front of his team's net, stopping all 38 shots he faced. On the other side of the ice, Tristan Jarry was replaced by Alex Nedeljkovic after allowing four goals on 14 shots in 21:56 minutes.
Kristopher Letang ended his evening of work with the worst difference (-4) on his team.
A goal for Drouin in defeat
Despite a goal from Jonathan Drouin, the Colorado Avalanche clearly lost 6-2 to the Jets in Winnipeg.
At the start of the third period, the Quebecer took advantage of Mikko Rantanen's return shot from the blue line to beat Connor Hellebuyck and score his fourth goal of the season. He now has 10 points in 28 games.
Alex Iafallo, Gabriel Vilardi (twice), Vladislav Namestnikov, Nino Niederreiter and Nikolaj Ehlers hit the mark for the local favorites.
Jack Johnson scored the visitors' other goal.
This victory allows the Jets to take first place in the Central Section thanks to a collection of 38 points in 29 games.
Pastrnak was eliminated against the Rangers
The New York Rangers beat the Bruins 2-1 in overtime in Boston in a hard-fought game, but that wasn't exactly what caught the attention.
In fact, at the very end of the second period, Bruins star David Pastrnak made a dangerous check from behind on Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren. Number 88 was ejected from the game and received a serious five-minute penalty and a game-misconduct penalty.
Vincent Trocheck completed the Rangers' comeback with a goal in overtime thanks to his second goal of the game. Trent Frederic scored the first goal for the Bruins.
In the win, Igor Shesterkin made 21 saves on 22 shots.
