NFL: Mahomes' mistakes cost the Chiefs dearly

Patrick Mahomes was generous on Christmas Day, giving the Las Vegas Raiders several gifts during Monday's 20-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

Mahomes was the trigger for the Chiefs' setbacks (9:6) in the first third. In fact, his two mistakes led directly to touchdowns for the guests.

While the score at the end of the second quarter showed a 7-3 lead in favor of the locals, the Missouri team's star quarterback fumbled the ball. It was enough for Bilal Nichols to grab the valuable ball and rush towards his opponent's end zone.

Moments later, Mahomes saw his pass intercepted by Jack Jones, who took the opportunity to score the middle finger after a 33-yard run.

Justin Watson responded for the Chiefs in the final moments of the game, but the damage was already done.

Thanks to this win, the Raiders (7-8) achieved their second success in a row. For the Chiefs, this setback is the third in their last four games. The latter will try to get back to winning ways on December 31st against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Nevada franchise will cross swords with the Indianapolis Colts on the same day.
