Eurostar rail services have resumed but delays expected

Eurostar train services resumed as planned this morning after all trains to and from London were canceled yesterday due to flooding of two tunnels in southern England. However, the company warned passengers departing from the British capital that there could be delays today due to “some speed restrictions in the morning”.

The first Eurostar train left London St Pancras station just after 8am local time (9am in Italy). At least one of the tunnels in Kent is currently open to traffic. The company estimates yesterday's disruption affected more than 30,000 passengers on both sides of the English Channel.
