- Johanna Sjoberg said she met magician David Copperfield at Epstein's home
- She testified at a dinner. Copperfield asked her if she knew that girls were paid to find other girls
One of Jeffrey Epstein's alleged victims, who claimed Prince Andrew groped her alleged magician David Copperfield, asked if she was aware that Epstein's “girls” were encouraged to recruit other girls to work for him.
Newly released court documents reveal that Johanna Sjoberg said during her testimony that the famous magician had just had dinner at Epstein's house when he asked her if her new other girls were being paid to bring in new girls.
The document said: “David Copperfield was at a dinner at Epstein's house and there was another girl present who looked young and asked Johanna what school she went to and Johanna didn't recognize the name of the school as a college and said, “It's possible 'a high school age girl.'
“Johanna said Copperfield “asked me if I knew girls were paid to find other girls.”

Epstein and Maxwell took underage girls to the perpetrators' homes, where they were sexually abused. They also encouraged these victims to procure other children for abuse
Sjoberg said in her May 18, 2016, deposition that she met Copperfield during a dinner at Epstein's home, although she did not say when or where the meeting took place
“Someone called me from home and said he would be there and if I wanted to come to dinner I could meet him,” she said.
Sjoberg said Copperfield wasn't at the house when she arrived, so she waited with another girl she didn't know yet who seemed very young.
“I asked her what school she went to and wanted to know if she attended any of the colleges in the area, but I didn't know the name of the school,” she said.

“So I thought she might be younger than college age, but for the sake of sanity I had to assume she was the daughter of one of his friends.”
Sjoberg said Copperfield performed magic tricks at dinner and she discovered he was a friend of Epstein's.
Over dinner, Copperfield discussed Epstein's involvement with young girls with Sjoberg.
“He asked me if I knew that girls were paid to find other girls,” she said.
On Wednesday, a 946-page collection of court documents from Giuffre's 2015 lawsuit against Maxwell was unsealed – the case was settled in 2017.
Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, was the only person ever punished for the sex trafficking ring.
The files were released by the Southern District of New York on January 3, following the appeal deadline at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
In Monday's explosive documents, Sjoberg also claimed that Epstein told her that Bill Clinton “liked the young people” in relation to women.
Clinton was pictured on Epstein's plane but tried to downplay his connection to the disgraced financier, who died in prison in August 2019.
In a new statement to CNN on Wednesday evening, Clinton claimed it had been nearly 20 years since he last saw Epstein.
A copy of an email released on Wednesday – also from Epstein – appeared to show him asking Ghislaine Maxwell to refute claims that Professor Stephen Hawking attended an underage orgy at Epstein's home.
The brilliant English physicist, who died in 2018 aged 76, visited Epstein's Little St James in 2008.
He spent the last decades of his life paralyzed by motor neuron disease, which left him reliant on a wheelchair to move and a computer to speak.
