The Victoriaville Tigres have secured the rights to defenseman Tristan Luneau.
They gave up a conditional fifth-round pick in the next Gatineau Olympics draft to acquire her.
The 19-year-old guard currently plays for the Anaheim Ducks, the team that selected him in the second round of the 2022 National Hockey League (NHL) Amateur Auction.
Luneau played seven games and collected three points with the California team. He also played six games for the San Diego Gulls of the American League.
The Ducks had loaned the Quebecer to Junior Team Canada for the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. However, due to a knee infection, Luneau was unable to take part in the tournament.
