“Your friend Michaël never seemed out of place to me… I didn't see it coming. Like all parents, we worry all the time, but in this situation with your boyfriend, I never expected it,” Gilles Rivard told TVA Nouvelles.

According to him, his daughter had been in a relationship with Michaël Dugas-Farcy for two or three years.

“Yes, they had little arguments like everyone else, but I never had any bad feelings,” added Mr. Rivard, who said he last spoke to his daughter about a week ago.

“She was a girl who didn’t ask for much in life,” he said.

We learned that Michaël had two children with another woman, but Chloé loved taking care of them.

The body of the woman who worked as a carer showed signs of violence.

Mr. Rivard also praised the resilience and generosity of his daughter, who, he assured, had a good heart.

“Chloé was a fighter in life. My daughter has a strong character…she follows me. She did a great service to many people in her life. As a beneficiary carer in residential homes, she did a lot of work for older people. “She didn't have an easy life… in the sense that she struggled to get what she had,” he explained.

“She thought of others before she thought of herself. She gave gifts to everyone even though she didn't have much money. She took care of herself most of the time and helped us a lot,” he continued.

Recall that on Friday evening at around 8 p.m. the police intervened in an apartment on Rue Elgin, where the death of Chloé Lauzon-Rivard was established on the spot.

Michaël Dugas-Farcy was arrested around 10:30 p.m. and has since been met by investigators. He is expected to appear at the Granby Courthouse on Saturday.
