For the first time this season, the Montreal Canadiens have won two games in a row in regular time.
On Wednesday night, the Habs triumphed 3-2 over the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center. They also experienced the joy of the victory on Monday evening against the Colorado Avalanche.
These consecutive regulation victories were not the only ones, as Joshua Roy used this duel to collect his first career point in the National Hockey League (NHL).
In the second third, the Quebecer benefited from a two-on-one with Sean Monahan. Alone in the slot, Roy fired a quick shot that gave goalkeeper Nico Daws no chance. The Saint-Georges native played his third game in the Bettman circuit.
Juraj Slafkovsky scored the first goal in the first period. The very first pick of the 2022 draft took advantage of a poor performance from Daws, but above all a great move from Cole Caufield, to score his sixth goal of the season. The 19-year-old found the net in two consecutive games.

In front of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge cage, Samuel Montembeault fended off 28 of the 30 pucks sent his way. He was thwarted by Luke Hughes and Alexander Holtz, while Nick Suzuki was in the penalty box for a double minor high stick penalty in the third period.
However, Caufield ended the Devils' hopes of a winning comeback by scoring the winning goal with less than five minutes to play. The underdog has hit the mark in Sainte-Flanelle's last three games.
CH will return to action this Thursday as part of a visit to Ottawa for a clash against the Senators.
