Donald Trump and Javier Milei met for the first time: “Make Argentina great again”

On the third day of Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in National Harbor, Maryland, the new President of the Republic of Argentina, Javier Milei, and former President of the United States and presidential candidate, Donald Trump, They met.

Although this was their first public meeting, both have praised each other before. After Milei's victory in Argentina's presidential election in November, Trump congratulated him on his Truth Social profile: “Congratulations to Javier Milei on an impressive presidential campaign in Argentina. The whole world was watching! I'm very proud of him. “You are going to change your country and make it truly great again.”

Candidates and political leaders come to CPAC every year to take the pulse of their base and gauge their acceptability among the thousands of conservatives in attendance. While attending CPAC, Milei addressed the issue of fighting corruption and stated that he will not give up in his efforts to “make Argentina great again.”

Shortly after Milei's speech at CPAC, in the middle of a photo session and as they shook hands, there was a meeting with Trump, who told him: “Make Argentina great again.”

“Long live freedom, damn it,” shouted the Argentine president, sparking shared laughter between him and Trump.

This meeting took place on the third day of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), an event in Washington. CPAC, launched in 1974, has established itself as a major rallying point for conservatives in the United States and abroad. Year after year, candidates and political leaders come to this event to gauge their base's support and gauge their popularity among the thousands of conservatives in attendance.

Several media outlets, including the Washington Post and progressive network MSNBC, were denied accreditation to cover the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this year. This forces them to attend as a general audience, an option that requires purchasing tickets, with prices starting at $295.
