According to the Ministry of Health on Saturday, the number of patients in hospitals due to the corona virus rose from 1067 to 1038. There are 28 people in the intensive care unit, the same number as the day before.

Eleven new deaths have been added to the death toll. We now regret 15,446 COVID-19-related deaths since it emerged in Quebec.

The Ministry of Health is also reporting 568 new cases since the previous assessment. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the authorities have identified more than 1.06 million cases of infection. However, the number of cases reported is not representative of the situation as access to screening centers is restricted to priority clients.

According to website VaccinTrackerQC, 5,811 doses of vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours, mostly second booster doses.

The percentage of people 5 years and older who received a first dose is 91.50%. It is also reported that 87.84% of eligible Quebecers received a second dose, 59.69% received a first booster and 13.27% received a second booster.

In the over 60s, the percentage of people who received a fourth dose is 42.5%.
