• A Frenchman has been killed in “fighting” in Ukraine, the French Foreign Ministry announced today. Neither the identity of the “combatant who left as a volunteer” nor the place where he died were disclosed.
• The European Union has banned most Russian oil imports with an embargo within six months in its sixth package of sanctions against Moscow to dry up the financing of the war against Ukraine after tough negotiations under pressure from Hungary.
• In a short video posted to Instagram, the President of Ukraine said, Volodymyr Zelenskyi affirmed: “Victory will be ours. » “The state representatives are here and they have been defending Ukraine for a hundred days,” he explains in this thirty-six-second video, filming himself in front of the Presidential Administration Building in Kyiv alongside his Prime Minister Denys Khmyhal and Presidential Party leader David Arakhamia.

• Sievierodonetsk crystallizes Moscow’s attention. “The most difficult situation” concerns Luhansk, one of the two regions of Donbass, recalled the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeri Zalouzhny. • The President of Senegal and the African Union “calmed down” his meeting with the Russian President. Macky Sall found Vladimir Putin “engaged and aware that the crisis and sanctions are creating serious problems for weak economies, such as the African economies”.
