After weeks of rising, the number of Covid cases in France is exploding. The figures published on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 show a significant increase in the number of cases compared to the previous week.
All lights are red
Over 7 days, the increase accounts for 54.6% of the additional cases, indicates Public Health France, which reports 147,248 new cases in the 24 hours to June 28. As BFMTV points out, this is the first time in two months that France has passed the 100,000 contamination mark.
According to the Covid Tracker, all traffic lights are red. The number of intensive care admissions due to Covid rose by 24% compared to the previous week, and the number of deaths increased by 9%.
For this Tuesday, June 28, Covid Tracker counts 37 deaths and 1,289 hospitalizations.
