Nicola Peltz’ wedding dress was simple but full of special details.
The actress wore a custom Valentino haute couture dress to wed Brooklyn Beckham on Saturday, which she and stylist Leslie Fremar helped make the year before the big day.
“The simplicity was great,” Fremar told Vogue. “We didn’t need to over-detail the dress to achieve the size, so we ended up eliminating the embroidery.”
Instead, they added opera-length lace gloves and a long train and cathedral-length veil to the sleeveless, square-neck design.
The bride’s mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, surprised her daughter with her “something blue” by having the Valentino team sew an evil eye and a special message into the skirt with blue thread, according to British Vogue.
Perhaps as a secondary measure, the bride’s mother wore a cobalt blue Versace dress.
The 23-year-old groom wore a tailored Dior tuxedo and a diamond lapel necklace by Anita Ko, which was a gift from his new in-laws.
“He wore it as an upscale wallet chain on Friday night and as a formal chain pinned to the front of his evening jacket on the night of the wedding,” Ko told British Vogue. “It was emerald-cut diamonds set in a bezel.”
As a gift for her new husband, Peltz, 27, sewed a bespoke tag into his wedding suit.
Dior creative director Kim Jones outfitted not only the groom but also the entire wedding party in Dior suits, while the Peltz bridesmaids wore dresses by tailor Joel Diaz.
The bride’s hair and makeup was an ode to ’90s supermodel Claudia Schiffer, with long bangs that played around her eyes, loose waves and a smoky but soft eyeshadow look.
The groom’s mother, Victoria Beckham – who was once rumored to have created the wedding dress herself – had no say in the main looks. Not only did she wear a sleek metallic slip dress of her own design, however, she also dressed BFF Eva Longoria in a black keyhole dress from her spring/summer 2022 collection and accessorised son Romeo’s Plus-One, model Mia Regan.
Perhaps Peltz will sport some looks designed by VB on her honeymoon.
