Doja Cat changes her Twitter name to “fart” after going straight to new boss Elon Musk for help

Doja Cat changed her Twitter name to “fart” after reaching out directly to the company’s new boss, Elon Musk, for help changing her nickname on the social networking site.

“I don’t want to be Christmas forever @elonmusk please help me I made a mistake,” the Grammy winner, who has changed her name many times in the past, wrote to Elon on Wednesday.

Half a day later and it seems the high-profile billionaire made good on his promise, he texted her back late Thursday morning: “@DojaCat you should now be able to change your name.”

It ended up taking Musk about 12 hours to get back to her and let her know that the issue with her name was fixed.

The singer’s new Twitter username is now “Fart”.

Doja’s (born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini) troubles all started when she changed her name to Christmas, before Twitter enacted a new policy leaving her to settle for the seasonal grip.

In fact, the performer’s dilemma began not long after Musk, who bought Twitter last month, announced that changing a user’s online name would result in the temporary loss of a tick.

Not wanting to continue as Christmas for the foreseeable future, Doja asked someone to help her.

Doja began her investigation on Wednesday with a simple question: “Why can’t I change my name here?”.

Seemingly intent on attracting attention, the singer then repeated her question, but this time added profanity, writing, “How do I change it fuck you Elon.”

The Grammy-winning songwriter directed her latest tweet on the subject to Musk himself, adding his stage name: “I don’t want to be Christmas forever @elonmusk please help me I made a mistake.”

The 51-year-old SpaceX founder finally acknowledged her Twitter concerns and responded by simply writing, “We’re working on it!”.

Although Doja Cat seemed to be having trouble with her Twitter account, she seemed to be doing just fine with her Instagram, as she shared several shots on her account on Wednesday and three more new photos of herself on Thursday.

In the new snaps, the singer showed off a new eyeshadow palette while posing for the camera with her raven locks styled with big bangs.

The Los Angeles native wore an all-black outfit for her post the day before, which included a slightly oversized jacket and a set of knee-high boots.

She later wore a multicolored bodysuit and her jet black hair remained free-flowing with bangs throughout all the shots.

Doja Cat opened up about her affinity for cosmetics in an interview with Bustle, where she expressed that her personal style is always changing.

“I used to love doing the hot, extra makeup, full bake, lashes and big eyeliner vibes. But then sometimes I like toning it down and not doing a whip… I change my mind every five seconds. I can’t hold on to anything,’ she explained.

The hitmaker went on to explain that she sees cosmetics as an extension of her art.

“I see makeup as doodling. At school I doodled and drew…it was one of my favorite things to do. I really just see it this way: I’m drawing on my own face,” she said.

Doja Cat further recalls when she first started trying new approaches to makeup.

“When I was maybe 14, I bought this [palette] with a ton of eyeshadow. It was every color of the rainbow and more… it was the one palette to experiment with and have fun with,” she said.
