The moving video of an elderly woman kneeling and reaching out to her grandson, a Ukrainian soldier who entered Kherson after the Russian army withdrew, was released by Regional Council Vice-President Yuri Sobolevsky. Grandmother’s joy is felt in the words between tears, the young soldier runs towards her, throws away his rifle, also kneels down and hugs her to his chest. The pictures published by the Ukrainian media go around the world.
