EXCLUSIVE: ‘Livid’ Channel 10 is editing the rogue Bachelors contestant from the upcoming series following her ‘unauthorized’ stint on the new season of rival dating show Married At First Sight
Channel 10 was forced to make last-minute changes to The Bachelors after a contestant defected and appeared on a rival dating show.
Chron Australia can reveal Jessica Tomlinson will not be among the featured hopefuls of the series following an “unauthorized” stint on Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight – which will air on January 30.
According to a network source, the 24-year-old’s scenes will be greatly reduced to “make it seem like she wasn’t there” in hopes she’s “completely forgotten”.

“Channel 10 and Warner Bros. are furious about the last minute change after noticing Nine heavily promoting Jess in ads for one of the MAFS weddings,” the insider said.
Back in October, Chron Australia exclusively revealed this one wedding is set to wreak havoc after Tomlinson accused her former best friend’s groom of dating her Bachelor co-star just days before she walked down the aisle.
Jess was seen pulling bride Bronte Schofield aside to let her know she recognized her partner Harrison Boon and should not be trusted.

According to a network source, the 24-year-old’s scenes will be greatly reduced to “make it seem like she wasn’t there” in the hope that she will be “completely forgotten”.
“Jessica couldn’t believe it when she realized it was the guy her co-star was dating and felt it was right to confront Bronte on their wedding day,” the insider explained.
“Jessica was desperate to get her five minutes of fame and decided to tell Bronte on camera by pulling her aside and essentially sabotaging the wedding.”
Her contract with Warner Bros. states that she may not appear in any other television or media program of any kind without the broadcaster’s written consent.
When the producers found out about her appearance on MAFS, the producers called Jessica for an explanation before telling her that she might not be eligible for her one-off payment.
“Channel 10 is furious with the last minute change after noticing that Nine Jess featured heavily in the ads for one of the MAFS weddings,” the insider said

“Jessica was devastated. She had no idea she was going on the show, it was all a surprise. They hit her hard,” a friend said.
Warner Bros. decided to further punish Jessica by leaving her out of the official cast announcement on Instagram.
Tomlinson remains one of the few contestants whose account was not taken over by the production or had her account made public.
Chron Australia has reached out to Channel 10 for comment.
