Neymar has never hidden his support for former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. Well, despite PSG and Seleçao’s No10, the weekend will be overtaken by the serious events in his country.
This Sunday, supporters of Jair Bolsonaro, who was defeated in the presidential elections, invaded Congress in Brasilia and looted what they could. After leaving for the United States, the former far-right president saw the rebellious behavior of some of his constituents and, like everyone else, he probably noticed that many people present in this movement wore the Seleçao jersey, especially with Neymar’s flock with the Number 10 on the back. The Brazilian had never hidden it and it brought him a lot of criticism, he was pro-Jair Bolsonaro even if he didn’t comment on President Lula’s victory. And this Brazil kit has become a mark of recognition that on Monday saw the Brazilian Football Federation furious.
The Brazilian jersey taken hostage by the pro-Bolsonaro
A camisa da seleção brasileira é um símbolo da alegria do nosso povo. É para torcer, vibrar e amar o país.

In a press release, the CBF called on the protesters and the pro-Bolsonaro to stop wearing the Brazil jersey during their criminal activities. “The CBF is a non-partisan and democratic institution. We demand that the kit be used to unite the Brazilians and not separate them. CBF regrets that our jersey is used for undemocratic acts and vandalism,” the body said. The president of the Brazilian Football Association also banged his fist on the table. “The jersey of the national team belongs to all Brazilians, not to one clan or another,” warned Ednaldo Rodrigues. For his part, Neymar, who resumed training with Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, did not communicate on the events of the weekend in Brazil and on the federation’s reaction.
