“We wonder why they decided to reopen the investigation just now, a few days later Funeral of Pope Benedict XVI. Is it a coincidence? The family of Emmanuel Orlandi and her lawyer learned of the reopening of the investigation from the press. “Of course we were happy, even though I think it was more polite to let us know beforehand. On the other hand, we already knew it from the bulletin of the Vatican press office when the Crusader tombs were opened. This concern never existed towards us. So the opening of the investigation means that the will to find the truth is there today, or at least there should be.”
There are many factors that the attorney and the Orlandi family said investigations have resumed.
